Pete Reuss
STAFF ASSOCIATE
Pete exudes a passion for God’s work in the world, trusting the Spirit to guide the church and ministry organizations to live into God’s future. Through the death of his mother as an 8-year-old and the death of his wife in 2015, Peter remains convinced that nothing, not even death, can stand in God’s way. If God has a vision for the church, God will raise up the leaders and the funds to make it happen. All things are possible.
Pete has served as a Shape of Leadership facilitator for LeaderWise since 2018. He is a consultant with GSB, specializing in helping congregations, judicatories, and non-profit organizations to chart paths forward in fundraising.
Pete served on the staff of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod for 10 years, working with new and ethnic ministries, congregational renewal, and stewardship.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) with degrees in Psychology and the Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN).
In his free time Pete enjoys the outdoors, camping in the summer, skiing in the winter, and running year-round (with a half marathon in Minnesota every January). He lives in Rochester with his wife Danielle and enthusiastic Springer Spaniels Lincoln and Annie.
